Founded in 1996, Ahlesa Textile Manufacturers (formerly Ahlesa Blankets Pty Ltd) began its journey in Atlantis, Cape Town, through a bold relocation initiative. Our legacy deepened in 2000 after acquiring Waverley Blankets — expanding both our capacity and our vision.
Rooted in the rich cultural heritage of Türkiye and influenced by South African resilience, Ahlesa brings together decades of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation. Guided by our founder, Mr. Levent Senol, an astute businessman and philanthropist, our mission is simple: produce high-quality, affordable textiles with passion and integrity.
In 2023, we underwent a major rebrand and renaissance. Ahlesa Blankets became Ahlesa Textile Manufacturers — reaffirming our leadership in design, quality, and textile innovation. This shift also welcomed the birth of our B2C brand, Ahlesa Home, focused on bringing thoughtfully made, locally manufactured homeware and bedding directly to customers.
Our vertically integrated plant ensures full control — from fiber to final product — enabling us to create value while reducing our environmental impact. We invest in advanced recycling systems to transform waste into new possibilities.
We produce a wide range of textile products, including blankets, rugs, tablecloths, custom foam mattresses, comforters, pillows, and recycled inners. We also offer custom branding, sizing, and packaging for retail, hospitality, and NGOs. Every item is crafted with care, sustainability, and value by skilled South African artisans.
